I am sure there are many translators out there willing to help you
fixing this. :)

The reason catalogmanager often crashes seems related to
the use of KDirWatch. You can easily trigger it when KDirWatch
is using the "stat" method.

Just open the catalogmanager and do an svn update on the
monitored folders. If you trigger the problem you'll see the
catalogmanager tree starting to flicker, sometimes 
catalagmanager even freezes and eventually vanishes silently.

There is already a bug report about it.

I recently fixed some KBabel bugs but this is really beyond my
time and knowledge. To me it seems the tree updating
code needs some redesign to work correctly.
