focusWidget doesn't have the focus? [WAS: Re: [PATCH] Avoid crash in Konsole (TEWidget::setCursorPos)]

As an update here while doing the same workaround in KWord I found that 
when the crash happens the focusWidget() doesn't have the focus! How 
can this happen? Is this a bug in Qt or something which is normal in 
certain cases?
