Complementing:

Support for gcc versions older than 3.3 is not guaranteed. We will apply 
patches if developers using those versions (like 2.95) provide us patches 
and we deem acceptable.

But remember that Qt requires gcc >= 3.2, so using 2.95 is a really big 
challenge.
