Why not using dbus to communicate from the job without gui, to
whatever application is in charge of displaying jobs kicker or a
superkaramba theme like in
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=33673 or
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=36308 (without the
caes things, just the idea for notifications)
