Yes, of course. Since the libraries have different sonames, the dynamic 
linker would allow you to load them both to memory. While, in theory, 
they should be fully compatible to one another, funny things could happen 
when symbol visibility is turned on.

And, of course, it would be a waste of memory to load both versions.
