Hi,
at the KDE Four Core meeting in Trysil the importance of a having a contact
point at Trolltech for Qt issues critical to the release of KDE was stressed.
Thiago's work on that was obviously of great benefit for both sides.
Therefore Benjamin and me will the new contact to interact with the TWG and
the core KDE development community. Yes, that's two persons being 'a contact
point', but that's still better than none :). We're both busy developers, so
we'll try to share the work. After all we've already started collecting some
things in Trysil.
So let me quickly repeat what Thiago already mentioned
(http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=114218369631259) :
We would like to hear about issues and (missing) features in Qt 4 that are
critical to the release of KDE 4.0. Getting the Qt dbus bindings working on
Windows is a good example for that. (and thanks Peter for investigating, btw)
We don't want to hear about plain simple bug reports, these should as usual be
sent to qt-bugs at trolltech.com, the normal channel. Also we don't monitor
submits to qt-copy and automatically grab patches from there.
Simon
