HTML and XML support the argument that this syntax shouldn't be
necessary.  HTML doesn't make you do:

<body background="foo.jpg">
  <!-- code -->
</body background="foo.jpg">

It's not that it's insane, it's just that it's unnecessary, and adds
more places for failure when updating tests.
