Incidentally, when I wrote KSnapshot I deliberately licensed it as LGPL so that people could embed it directly in their applications. If people want to add lots of features then that might be a way forward - the grabbing engine and the front-end are separate so writing an 'advanced' front end too is possible. Rich.
