Crash in KDirLister (again)

Just to make it clear: I cannot reproduce even with 3.4.2 on this 
machine, running OpenSUSE 10 beta4, while I got the crash while running 
on 3.4.2 and SuSE 9.3. The biggest difference I think is the compiler 
(4.0.2 vs. 3.3.something). 
So if you have a chance, please try to reproduce how I described and see 
if it crashes for you.
