building kdelibs4_snapshot

Hi,
trying to build kdelibs4_snapshot, i got a linking problem in khtml. It wants 
to link against a libungif. As far as i found, that's an extention of 
"giflib". On my system a version of giflib but not libungif was installed 
(Which i chaned meanwhile and now khtml links).

However, shouldn't have configure noticed the fact, that there is giflib and 
not libungif?
