Hi,

Because maybe not everyone who is interested helping us with kdelibs/win
development is subscribed to kde-windows, I'll post this message here too.

sf.net/projects/qtwin is providing a patch which adds additional
compiler support to the gpl'd qt3/win32 sources:

http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=360271

This patch is fully gpl-compatible and mostly written by Andreas
Hausladen and me. We used the project generators from Qt3 and modified
them to suit to the new requirements. With this patch you're able to try
to compile kdelibs with the free available msvc8 prerelease compiler
(http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/)

Thanx to Andreas Hausladen this patch also adds compiler suupport for
borland which isn't even available in the official qt4/win commercial
edition.
