checkAccess()

Nah, checkAccess() has nothing to do with KDE's standard dirs, i.e. 
KStandardDirs. How about kglobal.h, or even better, kio/kio/global.h? The 
docu says "A namespace for KIO globals", sounds like what checkAccess() is 
supposed to be.
