I disagree. Sometimes you have to kill a runaway process that doesn't have 
a window, or check which process uses all the memory, and those things are 
also what you need the process manager for - completely unrelated to windows
and the window manager.

So yes the necessity of a process manager is clear; but not related to kwin
and not only to kill visible windows.
