No. Even if we do move to D-BUS (which I find likely) as the native 
protocol, we will probably not drop DCOP, unless we find very strong 
reason to do so.

The IPC discussion group at aKademy did not get to any conclusion when 
discussing the needs for keeping backwards compatibility with KDE3 (KDE2 
wasn't mentioned at all) in the various levels, including DCOP, DBUS, KIO 
wire format, kdelauncher, kioslaves. 

It could be related to the fact that the two people who know those 
protocols the most weren't present....
