KDE_DOCS=AUTO not working anymore?

Hi,

For some time I have the following tiny Makefile.am to install translation 
docbook files:

Makefile.am:
KDE_LANG = nl
KDE_DOCS=AUTO

This should install the documentation in
$KDEDIR/share/doc/HTML/nl/APPLICATIONNAME/

However,  the files are reported to be installed in:
$KDEDIR/share/doc/HTML/nl
which is quite unfortunate :-(

I can confirm this on SuSE 9.2. The admin dir is recent. Are there any changes 
in the build system I need to be aware of?
