I must second this sentiment. There may indeed be many valid reasons to 
abandon support for 2.95, but being "too old" isn't one of them. It 
perfectly fine for a small team to choose the latest and greatest, but 
a project the size of KDE doesn't have that luxury. One must keep 
things in balance. Five years ago isn't ancient history. People weren't 
gnashing their teeth over the inability to write good clean 
maintainable C++ code.
