  It's a great idea, but I think it's also hard to get "right".  It basically 
calls for a common or close-to-common API, with predictable and compatible 
behavior on both platforms.  Some things like KConfig are really heavy to put 
on a PDA, and really over-kill.  How would that behavior remain predictable 
if a PDA didn't implement everything that KConfig offers?
