Changing username hangs with 100% CPU

Can anyone confirm this with current CVS ?

I changed the Real Username field for a test (as root) in kcontrol
settings and clicked OK.
After entering my password, the CPU went to 100 % forever.

Attaching gdb on the kdeinit process and checking bt, I got:

(gdb) bt

#1 0x413ba25f in fcntl () from /lib/libpthread.so.0

Some operating systems are called 'user friendly',
             Linux however is 'expert friendly'.
