But I have good news for you: I have almost finished to write a widget 
style that works well with these colour schemes. I am about to commit it 
to CVS.

The situation has already much improved by a fix in Qt, but there are 
still some problems left when you use the other styles that are currently 
offered by KDE. I tried to get this fixed at least for the default style 
in KDE, but unfortunately I don't know the code enough to fix it myself, 
and I did not manage to convince the style authors to do this.

Anyway, we will have themes in KDE 3.4 that set both the colour scheme, 
and the widget style, and monochrome icons to fitting to the colour 
scheme.
