patch: fix for some ld wonkiness on darwin (needs karma)

Attached is a patch that fixes some libtool/ld issues on darwin, it 
should go into the 3.4 tree if possible, along with HEAD.

Equivalent code is already in later versions of libtool, just not in the 
version provided with KDE's admin tree.
