[RFC] "Documents Folder" icon in "system:/"

C:/.

$HOME == My Documents. what you are suggesting would be the windows equivalent 
of "C :\Documents and Settings\ user name \My Documents\My Documents" ..

Desktop makes sense since those are user visible items that they specifically 
place in that location. i don't know what's in cxoffice, but if it's not 
something the user interacts with it's broken. the longer we work around 
these bugs in the handful of programs that have them, the longer we will have 
a $HOME that is misused.

we fixed kmail in 3.4. that took a lot of effort and discussion, but it got 
done. so it can happen.
