Yes, but it has been initialized unconditionally whenever the application 
starts. Startup performance shouldn't become worse than it already is, so I 
think Harri's suggestion is very sensible. (I also think that nearly no app 
will change its icon, given the fact that they have been able to do without 
for such a long time.)
