this is a problem with long threads: people forget what as originally said. 

i specifically noted that while some of the fixes were good catches, many of 
them were simply reordering of tags and questioned if that was time well 
spent (e.g. can we make the scripts better; should we worry about tag 
ordering). i didn't question the fixing of actual problems the scripts 
uncovered.
