There hasn't been anyone traditionally that maintains this stuff, but I figure 
I'm about as close as it gets at the moment since I was involved in this the 
last time (when the KDE 3.0 startup / logout sound was added).

In other words -- if there objections, speak up.  Otherwise I'll just make the 
call.  :-)

Yes, we mentioned this as well; I think my line was something like 
"Contributions are nice; maintainership is better."  However for valid 
comparison to the HiColor / Crystal issue it should be noted that then we 
were actually moving away from a concistant and generally complete set of 
icons.  We currently don't have that with sound.
