Just to be certain: are you proposing to use the locale's name for the 
country or the name the country's locals use?

Example:
if I were to choose French as my language, what should appear for 
Germany:
1.	Allemagne (Germany)
or
2.	Deutschland (Germany)

I think option #1 is preferrable.
