Just a little update. I sent mail to roughly 80% of the accounts (that is: 
only about 10% have open bug reports, so the number of sent mails is
~3000 so far) and so far the responses we got are pretty positive. 

Actually today is the first day in over 3 months that more bugs were closed
than opened ;(

So I would like every developer to begin thinking about bug reports again -
right now we have far more users reporting problems than we have helping
hands sorting the reports - I hoped kde-quality would improve that, but
so far I fail to see the success stories.
Right now we've got 6688 bugs (growing in a very huge speed - we had
~4200 in january!)
