You could introduce an intermediate mimetype "application/x-executable-code" 
or perhaps reuse "application/x-executable" and let the applicable executable 
mimetypes inherit from that. Then you can check for them all with 
KMimeType::is("application/x-executable-code") without hardcoding anything.
