This is getting silly - please stop arguing in the abstract.

Clearly there are options that are confusing and needless except in very 
special cases, but since KDE doesn't have a "Behaviour follows thought" class 
yet, we are going to need some options.

Now if there are particular options we need to work through, bring them up (on 
whatever mailing list is most appropriate).
