KKeyServer - does anyone know what it is supposed to do?

Hi,

I'm interested in the KKeyServer namespace (I suspect it has some stuff that I 
could use), but I'm a bit baffled by its API. Does any here know how it 
supposed to be used - looking at its history in

reveals more confusion than enlightenment. Anyone care to offer clarification?
