This evening I went through and converted a small handfull of kdegames to use
setupGUI() and found myself quite surprised. Typically kdegames are pretty
simple and have all the basics because of that. I touched most of them in
the last two years with KAutoConfig/KConfigXT and I thought put in all the
stuff that setupGUI() now does automaticly manually at the same time if they
were missing it. But I found to my surprise probably only half saved their
size/location and most didn't include the ability to edit the toolbar(s) and
a few didn't let you turn on/off the toolbar or statusbar. So much for the
"Everyone adds it all manually anyway so what is it worth" theory. Already
it has proven itself much more valuable in making kde applications more
consistant than I originally thought. Very cool.
