some kdenetwork/lanbrowsing compatibility issues

Hi,
in kdenetwork we have lanbrowsing, currently consisting of the lisa and the
reslisa daemons and the accompanying lan and rlan ioslaves.
The reslisa daemon together with the rlan ioslaves are AFAIK not much used.
About lisa and the lan-ioslave I get a lot of feedback.
I'd like to do the following: get rid of reslisa and the rlan ioslave (reslisa
is a "restricted" version of lisa which can do less but doesn't require root
privileges), or at least of their config page in the control center.
Additionally I'd like to rename the binary for the lisa daemon from "lisa" to
"lisad" (since it's a daemon).
Can I simply do it ? Or do we have to keep the name for compat. issues ? Would
providing a symlink be enough ? Could this be done for 3.2.1 or for 3.3/4.0 ?
Bye
Alex
