I'm planning to do this ASAP, in cooperation with Benoit Walter. The code in 
kdenonbeta/kthememanager is feature complete and stable IMHO, all it needs is 
integration with Benoit's kstyle2.

The plan for kthememanger is to provide the look-releated control modules 
(wallpaper, colors etc) as "details" sections, effectively hiding them from 
the Control Center tree. I believe this way it will be much more user 
friendly.
