You missed a big part of this, that KHotKeys should be re-worked and have half 
its functions ( the simple shortcut binding stuff ) built into kdebase, 
merged in with "Keyboard Shortcuts", and half of it ( the DCOP stuff, the 
custom stuff that lets you bind a Gesture to keyboard input and things like 
that ) be put into a power users module.
