I'd say go for it, but I don't understand why a kde with kdegraphics
is able to preview *.svgz files

cat ksvg/plugin/svgthumbnail.desktop | grep MimeTypes
MimeTypes=image/svg+xml

I'm not completely sure anymore how .svgz viewing should work at all?
