Here's some news from KMix. You could write something like this:
"KMix, the small but powerful mixer for your soundcard, now fully supports
the ALSA soundcard driver (ALSA 0.9 and newer). Additionly the layout has been
improved to accomodate users of high-end soundcards with 30 or more controls.
On-Off-Switches are now shown in a separate window area for more convenience.
KMix from KDE3.2 is future-save - it has already been run succesfully with the
Linux2.6-test2 version."
If you find that this is more something for the new-feature-guide, then
somebody please include it there.
