X11 KeySym to Unicode mapping?

Hi,

After much scratching of head, I finally realised that an X11 KeySym is not 
the same as a Unicode value (of course its *obvious* when you think about 
it!). The closest thing to a mapping I can find is:

http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs/keysym2ucs.h

But the question is, is there already an equivalent mapping somewhere else in 
KDE or Qt, or should I just add these files to kdenonbeta/viki?
