IMHO its the "i have not clue what im doing" secter thats the issue here.   
The guys who know how to use dynamic_cast wont need this macro, and the guys 
who dont here wont null check any of this anyway.  That is the big problem i 
have.   Maby a name change would make it more obvious, but I think we might 
get more milage out of perl/python/ruby script that checks for this junk at 
cvs checkin time.
