Object specific icons

Hi,

there is a thing which bothers me during the last weeks...
IMHO we have too less object specific icons in kdelibs/kdebase.
For example when you want to have an icon with a terrestrial globe,
you have to use the icon from 'kpf' or 'package_network'. The problem is
that in the next release these application icons may change and show
another object, so you have to search a new icon with the motive...

It would be really cool when we have a couple of object specific icons
in KDE 4.0.

Examples:

- person (shows a single figure)
- person_group (shows two or more figures)
- script (shows a sheet of paper)
- globe (shows a terrestrial globe)
- sound (shows a speaker or a note)

etc. etc. (we should have a file in cvs then were all icons are listed
and for the developer it's a promise that all icons which are listed
there will be available in the release)

The artists can change the colors and shapes but they have to make sure
that the object is still available in the icon.

I hope with a central set of basic icons we could make the GUI more
consitent and maybe it also results in less icons when they are used by
many apps.

What do you think about it?

Ciao,
Tobias
