Yes. It is a subwindow layout mode like the one used in IntelliJ. It is quite
like vertical tabs. The special feature is that you can have the windows
activated by the tabs overlap the actual main windows. This is very handy if
you have not too much screen space. It is used in kate and in kdevelop.
The name was inspired by the name of the IntelliJ IDE, which is called "IDEA"
and by the fact that I thought it is the perfect windowing mode for IDEs :)
