question: what exactly is IDEAL or IDEAl mode?

Hi,

I'm currently translating kdelibs into Dutch, and would like to know
what is the filosophy behind IDEAL-mode (like in Kate). Of course I can 
muck around in the GUI and understand how it looks, but to translate the 
MDI-menu and modes effectively I would like to know some more background 
info.

Currently I'm translating as follows (kmdiguiclient.cpp):
(MDI Mode)              Meerdere documenten->
	(Toplevel Mode)       in losse vensters
	(Childframe Mode)     in dochterframes
        (Tabpage Mode)        in tabbladen
        (IDEAL Mode)          ???????
