Spell Checking built into KTextEdit?

Apps that want a text editor with syntax highlighting would be foolish to not
be using  the KTextEditor interface, so that the user's chosen editor with
highlighting is used (be it the KatePart of KVim or other) instead of forcing them
to use some other editor.
