Cross toolkit consistency (Was: glib in kdesupport: yes or no?)

Wrappers around wrappers around wrappers.  That seems the only possible way to 
enable full integration between the toolkits and all the other software.  
Either that or everyone just agrees on what we will use.  The first is a bad 
solution that only masks the problem and the second is impossible.  IMHO, the 
current situation where we do our thing and they do whatever they want is 
better than either of these, however we should strive to increase integration 
where possible and where it doesn't sacrifice the ideals or goals of either 
desktop.
