glib dependancy in KDE3.x

but its basically inevitable that we must use something
equivalent to arts functionality wise and there are none 
that are pure qtc++. i really don't see one existing 
before 4.0 if at all.

therefore, i say that the possiblity that the code would 
be used by more projects can only be good and usage of
glib will if anything remove code dup and thus increase
stability.

personally i'd like to see the sound server removed and
replaced with gstreamer, jack and tim tjansen bindings,
and arts could then be moved into kdemultimedia for the 
more advanced apps or at least made a non-dep. maybe
kdeaudio would be a nice one. anyways, this is imho.

maybe the entire "arts?" topic should be brought up?
i missed the kde-multimedia one thankfully. was
there any conclusions whatsoever?, i don't really
feel like trawling through the flames.
