hrm.. it worked/works here... you have to restart kicker (unfortunately) to 
get the frame to display.. hrm......

is the systemtray on a childpanel or the main panel for you? what is the value 
of FadeOutAppleHandels (i think that's the name of the key; going from memory 
here) for the main kickerrc and the rc file for panel the systray is in if it 
isn't the main panel?
