OK, here the facts:

1. as it's now it can't stay
2. you can't create two primaries out of one listed with automake
3. you need a binary for prelink
4. you need a DSO for kdeinit
5. prelink doesn't support DSOs (only libraries)
6. libraries are DSOs only with ELF
7. libraries can not contain main() portable
  (actually I added KDE_IS_PRELINKED=true to ignore DSOs in
  kdeinit)
-> you can't have prelink, kdeinit and automake together. Choose
your two

Choose your two: am_edit does kdeinit+automake and unsermake - 
well it doesn't do automake :)

The only other choice you have is: implement it all in Makefile.am
and copy always the same code, but see kde-cvs for David's 
try to make it work for kxkb and imagine that for all KLMs.
