Doesn't this perfectly collide with KAutoConfig ? Note that the later has 
some issues (notably not being able to produce useful config keys for 
comboboxes (still unfixed!!) ). 

I would hope that KPrefs can at least address the shortcomings of 
KAutoConfig to be a full replacement.
