Really cool.

Regarding the usage with knotify: Would it be possible to configure OSD 
attributes depending on the event type? I think it would be usefull to 
distinguish the events simple by the position or color, without having to 
read the actual event message. Takes less time to recognize a notification.
Perhaps integrate the attribute configuration into the KNotify dialog?

Further ideas:
* Blinking a few times, perhaps blending in/out
* Icons in the OSD (E.g. the mail icon for incoming mail)
* Allow for richtext.
