KIO: maxInstances not honoured?

Hi,

I've written an ioslave kio_mobile to access the directory structure of my S55 
(supposedly Ericsson mobiles as well) over a serial, irda or similar 
connection.

That connection is pretty much exclusive (I don't support different ports 
yet), so there should only ever be one kio_mobile running.

maxInstances is set to 1, however typing in konq's location bar will start one 
slave for completion and hitting return will start another one.

Is maxInstances not suited to enforce that?
