libkdefakes dependency necessary?

Hi,

is the dependency between ksysguardd and libkdefakes really necessary?
ksysguardd should be independent from the frontend and be able to get
installed on some servers, which haven't a running KDE installed.

What's wrong with using strncpy instead of strlcpy? Would it be ok to
copy the strlcpy code to the ksysguardd code to get rid with the
dependency?
