This was pretty long ago, 1½ week. We had discussed this fairly thorough in 
two threads where it was explained why it did not make sense making 
save-on-quit configurable. It was also explained why the patch made sense and 
how it did not make blasting-ears more likely. The last thread petered out, 
with no objections from your side to why it should not be commited.
